Your best shot is one recording. Sometimes a step was better in another swing: last week's Top, today's Impact. With your ultimate swing you compose, for each of the eight steps, which of your own swings the reference comes from. Whatever you leave open follows your best shot. Your best shot stays the norm for your regular advice; the ultimate swing is a second reference next to it. This is an experiment.
A step always comes from a swing of your own with the same club. Composing opens once you have a best shot and enough finished swings with that club.
Composing
- Go to Swings and tap Compose ultimate swing; the playback screen has the same button (✦) in the left column.
- Pick the club, tap Choose a swing at a step and choose the swing that step should come from.
- To take a step from your best shot again, tap Follow your best shot. Reset all resets every step.
Comparing
Open a swing. Under the title you find Compare with: choose Ultimate swing. Per step you then see the difference with the swing that step comes from; the text names that swing by its date. The swing story, your pro's note and the 3D model belong to your best shot and stay out in this mode.
The montage
With Build montage SwingIQ makes one video of the eight steps, each from its own swing, with you the same size and on the same place in every step. That takes a moment. Then you play it with Play; in your swing list it is its own item (✦) at the top of the club. On a tablet the montage sits next to your current swing in Side by side. On the step boundaries you see a cut: it is, and stays, composed.
The automatic ultimate swing
Next to your own composition, the theory of the eight steps composes one itself: for every step the theory has checkpoints for (Top and Impact) it takes the swing closest to the theory there; the other steps follow your best shot. You see that automatic ultimate swing in the list as long as you have not composed one yourself. To see both, turn on Also show the automatic ultimate swing under Settings. In the player you then choose Automatic to compare with it. The automatic version changes along when you record new swings or change your best shot; you do not edit it yourself, but you can take it as the starting point for your own choices.
