Recording automatically after the scan

When you tap the green button on the scan, you don't have to walk back to the phone: the app counts down and starts recording by itself.

Setting it up

In Settings, under Preferences:

• Record right after the scan — on or off. If it's off, you start every recording yourself with the round button.
• Countdown before recording — how many seconds the app counts down. At 0, the recording starts immediately, without a countdown.

It's on by default, with three seconds.

During the countdown

• The number appears large on the screen. With Cancel you stop the countdown; the recording then doesn't start and you can tap the round button yourself.
• If spoken guidance is on, you hear a tick every second and a longer tone just before the start. The tone has ended before the recording begins, so it doesn't end up in it.

Good to know

• The countdown belongs to a fresh recording from the scan. If you come back from checking a recording, the app doesn't count down again.
• The setting applies to this device, not to your account.
