The club decides your comparison

Why your club choice matters, and what to do if you picked the wrong one.

iPhone · Android

You have one best shot per club. A new swing is only compared with the best shot of the club you choose here. So the club isn't a label, it's the key to your advice.

What happens with the wrong club

Say you pick Iron while you're hitting the driver. Then:

  • the swing is compared with your best iron shot, and the advice is about differences that don't matter;
  • the swing appears under irons in your list and in your overview on Today;
  • if you choose that swing as your best shot, it can become the example for your irons.

You can't change it afterwards

Once recorded, a swing's club can no longer be changed, not even on the website. If the club is wrong, the way out is to delete the swing and record the shot again with the right club.

No best shot for this club yet?

Then the swing is still recorded and processed, but not compared yet. As soon as you choose a best shot for that club, the swings of that club get their comparison after all.
