What happens when my subscription changes?

With a bigger subscription you can do more straight away. With a smaller subscription, golfers and videos above the new limit are set aside and erased after 30 days — unless you go back up in time.

With every change

  • You sign in again everywhere. As soon as your subscription has been switched, all your devices and the site are logged out. After signing in, the new capabilities apply.
  • Settings that aren't in your new subscription are turned off, or go back to the default value.

A bigger subscription

Everything that's added works right after signing in: more golfers, more videos, and the capabilities of the new subscription. If material was set aside because of an earlier smaller subscription and hasn't been erased yet, it comes back — newest first, until the new maximum is full.

A smaller subscription

If your material no longer fits in the new subscription, SwingIQ cleans up daily in two steps: first setting aside, 30 days later erasing. Material that's set aside is no longer visible anywhere and doesn't count, but it still exists; if you go back within those 30 days to a subscription it fits in, it comes back.

  • Too many golfers — the golfer from your registration stays, plus the golfers added next, oldest first, up to the new maximum. The rest are set aside, with their videos.
  • Too many videos — the oldest videos are set aside until you're at the maximum.
  • best shots always stay. A video that is set as a best shot is never set aside or erased — not even from a golfer who is set aside. If that golfer comes back, their best shots are still there.
  • Shared copies with others stay; they belong to their account.
  • You get a notification when material has been set aside, a reminder before erasing, and a notification when something has been restored.

Good to know

  • If you'd rather clean up yourself before the switch, you choose what goes: delete swings or choose best shots (they don't count).
  • If a switch affects a great deal of material, nothing happens automatically: we'll look at it first.
