How did the shot go?

The question after you confirm, what your answer does to your advice, and how to turn the question off.

Part of Basic

iPhone · Android

After you confirm, the app asks How was this shot?. The camera sees your swing, but not where the ball went. Only you know that, and it makes your advice genuinely better: the coach links what differed to what you saw.

What you can choose

  • Strike — Good or Bad.
  • Direction — Straight, Left or Right.
  • Ball flight — Draw or Fade (from Pro).
  • Contact — Topped or Fat (from Pro).

You can make more than one choice, from different rows. Then tap Continue. If you don't want to say anything, tap Skip.

What it does to your advice

  • Your answer goes along to the coach who writes the advice, and it really pays off. Choose Topped or Fat and the difference that fits it gets priority, with the advice saying it fits what you noted yourself. A shot you rate yourself as Bad or Left gets advice that fits.
  • On Today, your answer counts towards the distribution of your shots, and on the website you can filter your swings by it.
  • If there are several swings in this recording, they all get the same answer: the question is about the recording as a whole.
  • A swing called Bad, Topped or Fat does not become a candidate for your best shot. Your answer Good appears with the explanation of a candidate, but does not make a swing a candidate by itself.

You can't change your answer afterwards at the moment. If you're not sure, choose Skip.

Turning the question off or giving it a timer

In Settings:

  • Ask for the outcome after recording — off, and the question no longer appears.
  • Countdown to 'no result' — has the question close by itself without an answer after a number of seconds. By default, the question waits for you.

Good to know

If the upload is running in the background, the question appears alongside it and you don't have to wait for it; your answer is linked as soon as the swing exists on the server. If the recording was saved without a connection, the question doesn't appear: the swing doesn't exist yet.
