Reading differences and advice

What the colours, the numbers and the dots mean, and how to read the advice for a difference.

The player compares this swing with your best shot for the same club. So what you see is the difference from yourself at your best. It is not a judgement of right or wrong.

The colours in the filmstrip

A coloured block is a step of the swing you get advice on.

  • Red is the step with the biggest difference, yellow the one with the smallest. The steps in between run from red to yellow.
  • The colours are a ranking within this one swing. Red means "this is where the most difference is", even if that difference is small.

The numbers in the filmstrip

Each step has a round number at the top left. That is the order of importance: 1 is the step that weighs heaviest. If the number is filled in yellow, the player shows advice for that step. With a dark number it does not.

The numbers are off by default. You switch them on in Settings → Show importance per step.

The dots on the video

If the video is paused inside a coloured block, you see dots on your body. There are at most three per step: red for the biggest difference, orange for the middle one and yellow for the smallest.

  1. Tap a dot. A card with the name of the difference appears at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap the card to expand it. You then read how it was in your best shot.
  3. Tap the same dot again to zoom in on that spot.
  4. Tap the dot again to zoom out, and once more to close the card.

Zooming in on a dot is available from the Basic subscription. Without it, the card closes when you choose the dot again.

Good to know

  • The dots move along with your body as you go through the swing.
  • Do you see fewer coloured blocks than you expect? By default the player shows only the most important steps. With the button for all advice you see them all.
  • If you choose a different best shot, the differences change with it.
  • The advice is tuned to the handicap in your settings: short and concrete with a high handicap, with more explanation and measurements with a low one. Change your handicap and the advice is regenerated the next time you view the swing.
