Set your best shot

Pick, per club, the swing you want to compare all your other swings with.

Your best shot is your own example: the swing you are happy with. SwingIQ compares every other swing with the same club to this one swing and shows where it differs. So you always compare with yourself, never with someone else.

You have one best shot per club. If your account has several golfers, each golfer has their own best shots.

How to do it

  1. Go to Swings and find the swing you want to use as your example.
  2. Swipe the swing to the right. A star appears on the left.
  3. Tap the star.

Swipe the swing to the right and tap the star

The swing gets a star in the list. You can find all your best shots with the Best shots filter.

Good to know

  • Pick a swing that has finished processing. While a swing is still being processed, there is nothing to compare with yet.

  • Did you already have a best shot for this club? Then the new one takes over. Read what happens to your earlier comparisons in What happens when I change my best shot?

  • Your best shot itself gets no similarity and no advice: comparing a swing with itself is always 100% and says nothing. The advice belongs to your other swings.

  • You cannot delete a best shot. Choose another best shot first; then the old one can be removed.

  • The video of a best shot does not count towards your storage limit.

  • If a swing is closer to the theory of the eight steps than your best shot, it can be waiting as a candidate with that club's swings. You then set it from there; see Candidate for your best shot.

  • No connection? Your choice is saved and passed on as soon as you are back online.
