Settings at a glance

What's on Settings, what applies to your whole account and what applies only to this device.

Settings is divided into cards. The main distinction: some things belong to your account and apply everywhere you sign in, others belong to this device.

Your account

  • Profile — your name, your subscription and how many videos you use out of your maximum. You don't change your name here; you can tap your subscription to see what each subscription offers.

  • Language, date of birth and handicap — apply to your account. Your handicap also sets how detailed the advice on your swings is: short and concrete with a high handicap, with more explanation and measurements with a low one. Without a handicap you get the advice for an intermediate player.

  • Golfer profile — height and playing hand. With several golfers on your account, this is set per golfer on Today, behind the pencil.

  • Account — contacting us, Log out and Delete account.

  • Show candidates for your best shot — sits among the recording switches in Preferences, but belongs to your account and is saved right away. Off, and candidates for your best shot are shown nowhere, not on the website either.

This device

The recording and playback switches in Preferences (countdown, record straight after the scan, confirm automatically, upload in the background, record the golf course, the filmstrip playback screen) exist only on this phone. Don't forget to tap Save preferences. Tap the i next to a setting for a short explanation of exactly that setting. More is explained with the screen where the switch works: the scan, recording, the review and playback.

Also per device:

  • Permissions — camera and microphone.
  • Synchronization — your offline package (only with a subscription that includes manual sync).
  • Security — biometric sign-in.
  • About — version, the server your recordings go to, and Help and explanations: all the help in one place.

Good to know

  • A switch you don't see belongs to a different subscription. In this help, each topic shows from which subscription something is available.
  • Same account on several devices: account settings come along, device settings don't.

Under In the app only, the site shows which settings exist only in the app: recording, sync, biometrics and permissions. Those live on your phone and can't be changed here.
