SwingIQ

The classic playback screen

The player with tabs, eight steps and frame by frame, and how to switch between the two players.

Part of Pro+

iPhone · Android

SwingIQ has two players. The regular player has a filmstrip below the video. The classic player lets you watch the swing step by step and frame by frame.

Switching between the two players

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Under Preferences, turn the Filmstrip playback screen switch off for the classic player, or on for the player with the filmstrip.

The choice applies right away to the next swing you open, and only on this device. Choosing is available from the Pro+ subscription.

Playing

  • Tap the video to play or pause.
  • Double-tap the left or right half to go five seconds back or forward.
  • Pinch with two fingers to zoom in and drag to move the image.
  • At the end a round arrow appears in the middle of the screen to play again.

The two tabs at the bottom

  • STEPS — eight figures, one per step of the swing. Tap a figure: the video jumps to the start of that step and pauses. The name of the step is shown above it. A dimmed figure has no data.
  • CONTROLS — the slider, the round arrow for playing again, the -1f and +1f buttons to go one frame back or forward, and the Pose off button to hide all lines.

The views at the top right

At the top right you use the figures to choose what you see over the video. They appear when there is a comparison with your best shot.

  1. Green figure — the lines of this swing.
  2. Blue figure — the lines of your best shot.
  3. Green and blue figure — both on top of each other.
  4. Red dots — only the places where you differ, without lines.

What you read for a step

First choose a step on the tab with the figures. What you see then depends on the view.

  • Green figure — only the lines of this swing, without text.
  • Blue figure — the name of the step and one sentence of advice.
  • Green and blue figure — the same advice, plus what percentage this step matches your best shot, with a rating in words.
  • Red dots — at most two differences. Tap a line to read the explanation.

Tap the chosen step again to hide the advice or show it again. Without a chosen step you read, with the lines of your best shot on screen, what percentage the whole swing matches your best shot.

The rating for a percentage

  • Very close — 93 percent or more.
  • Close — 80 up to and including 92 percent.
  • Differs — less than 80 percent.
  • Not enough data — no percentage could be determined.

Good to know

  • If the video is paused on a chosen step, one tap zooms in on the spot you touch and the next tap zooms out again. A double tap continues playing the video in that state.
  • Below the cross is a button that hides the video image. You are then left with only the lines.
  • The button for 3D is on the tab with the figures, at a step for which a 3D model exists.
