Accepting counts toward your storage

An accepted copy is a video of yours and takes up a slot in your archive. What happens when it is full.

Part of Basic

Your plan has a maximum number of videos. A shared swing that you accept becomes a video of yours, and it counts just like a recording of your own. Nothing changes for the sender: they keep their original and their own slot.

If your archive is full

Accepting then doesn't work right away. The request simply stays pending, so you can make room first and then accept again.

The app asks the same question as for a recording: Video archive full, with the choice Replace oldest or Cancel. If you choose to replace, the app first deletes the oldest video in your account and then accepts straight away. If Full archive: automatically replace the oldest is on in Settings, the app skips the question and replaces right away.

What "replace the oldest" does

The same rules as for a recording, see archive full: replace the oldest:

  • the oldest video in your whole account is permanently removed, with all the swings on it — with several golfers that can be a video of a different golfer;
  • a video that is set as a best shot doesn't count and is never replaced.

Good to know

  • Declining or letting the request expire costs no slot.
  • You can always delete a copy again; the slot is then free. The sender won't notice.
  • If you later choose the received copy as a best shot, it — like any best shot — no longer counts toward your maximum.
