Sharing a swing

Send a swing to a coach or fellow golfer: by email address or by name, what the recipient sees, and how you keep track of what happened to it.

You don't send the video itself, but a share request. The recipient chooses whether to accept it; only then do they get a copy of their own. Sharing is available from the Pro plan; the recipient must have a SwingIQ account.

You get here from Swings: swipe a swing sideways and tap the share icon. That only works once the swing has finished processing.

Who to send it to

  • Recipient's email address — the address the other person is logged in to SwingIQ with. As soon as you leave the field, the app checks whether an account belongs to it.
  • Shared with before — if someone has already accepted a share request from you (or you from them), they appear here by name. Tap the name; the email field then disappears. With Other address you get it back.

So the first time is always by email address: you can't search for people in SwingIQ. You can't share with your own account.

Sending and tracking

Tap Send share request. The recipient gets a notification in SwingIQ and an email with a link to accept. Under Already shared with you see where things stand for each recipient: pending (with the date it expires), accepted, declined, withdrawn or expired. As long as a request is pending, Revoke appears next to it.

Good to know

  • A share request expires after 30 days without a reply. You both then get an email.
  • You can send at most 25 share requests per day.
  • You can share the same swing with several people; each request appears separately in the overview.
  • Sharing needs a connection: the request goes straight to the server.
