What the recipient gets
As soon as the recipient accepts, SwingIQ makes a copy of their own of the video in their account. That copy:
- is analysed from scratch in their account and compared with their best shot for that club — not with yours;
- counts toward their storage, not yours;
- appears in their account under their first golfer, with the "received" mark and a note that it was shared with them;
- is theirs from then on: they can view it, move it, delete it and share it on themselves.
Your original swing stays yours and doesn't change. What you later do with your original — delete it, choose a different best shot — doesn't affect their copy. And the other way around.
One exception: marks. If either of you draws on the video, you both see it. How that works is explained under who sees my marks.
What you can undo
- While the request is pending you can withdraw it. The recipient no longer sees it and gets an email; accepting is no longer possible.
- If they have already accepted, there is nothing left to undo: the copy is in their account and belongs to them. If you want them to no longer have the copy, you'll have to ask them.
What else happens
- If the recipient declines, you get a notification. You may send the request again.
- If you delete your original while the request is still pending, the recipient sees "recording no longer available" and the copy doesn't go ahead.
- After 30 days without a reply the request expires on its own; you both get an email.
- Your swing gets the "shared" mark from the moment you send the request. It stays if the recipient declines or the request expires. It only goes away if you withdraw and there is no other request on that video that is still pending or has been accepted.
