Notifications are about things that someone else did with your account, or that SwingIQ took care of for you while you weren't looking. They're on a single list, newest at the top.
What about
- Sharing — someone wants to share a swing with you; your request was accepted, declined or expired without a reply; an accepted video is now in your swings.
- Marks — someone who has the same video (shared by you or with you) has drawn something on it.
- Your plan and storage — if a change to your plan has consequences for your videos.
- Your best shot — a swing that is closer to the theory of the eight steps than your best shot is waiting as a candidate.
- The community — only if it's switched on for you: replies to your contribution, an accepted answer, invitations to a group, and the outcome of moderation.
What you will not find here: that processing of your own recording has finished.
The app has its own prompt for that, right after processing; you switch it on or off with Notify when processing is done in Settings.
Where you read them
In Swings, via the Notifications button. If there are unread notifications, the number is shown next to it. Tap a notification to mark it as read; the word New then disappears. Pull the list down to refresh.
Banners on your phone
While you use the app, it checks every half minute whether there is anything new and shows a banner for it. For that, Enable notifications in Settings must be on and your device must allow notifications from SwingIQ. That switch is available from the Basic plan; notifications about your storage and plan appear in the list on every plan.
These are not push messages: if the app is closed, you see nothing until you open it again. That's why important things around sharing also arrive by email.
Good to know
- Around sharing you also get emails: for a new request, for an acceptance, when a request expires, and when the sender withdraws it (that last one only by email, not in the list). The other notifications only appear in the list.
- A notification is in the language you had at the moment it was written. If you switch language, old notifications stay in the old language.
- The list shows the last 50 notifications.

Where you read them
Via Notifications in the top bar; the number of unread ones is shown next to it. With Mark read you mark one, with Mark all read all of them.
Banners on your phone
The site shows no banners; the number in the top bar does keep updating while the site is open.
